Liqueurs for lazy days
Cornish-made and summer-ready, these spirited sips are perfect for garden gatherings.
Summer has arrived, and at Rock Distillery, the team has been busy bottling the season. Their collection of 22% ABV liqueurs, cut with Cornish spring water, offers a refreshing way to elevate warm-weather cocktails, spritzes, or simple pours over ice.
The journey began with the ever-popular Lemongino and Orangino; liqueurs made from fresh citrus and Rock Distillery’s Cornish Classic gin. Bright, zesty and full of sunshine, they’re perfect served over ice and topped with prosecco, tonic or lemonade.
The range soon expanded to include whiskey-based liqueurs, crafted from Rock’s triple-distilled, three-year-old Single Malt. There’s the smooth, nutty Peanut Whiskey Liqueur; the warming, spiced Whiskey Warmer with ginger and local honey; and the tangy, citrus-led Whiskey Sour, made with lemon and pink grapefruit – ideal with a dash of cloudy lemonade for a bright summer serve.
Next came a series of vodka liqueurs, all made using Rock’s crystal-clear Classic Vodka. The Pink Grapefruit Vodka Liqueur is a lively partner for rosé champagne, while the Watermelon Vodka Liqueur is tropical and refreshing with cranberry juice and crushed ice. For something indulgent, the Toffee Vodka Liqueur with apple juice in a chilled martini glass is dessert in disguise.
Newest to the line-up are the brandy-based liqueurs. Smooth, flavourful, and made for summer evenings, these include Vanilla Delight, Apricot Fusion, Orange Breeze, and the nostalgic Brandy Snap. Each is finished with Cornish spring water for balance. For a twist, try the Brandy Snap & Lime cocktail: a measure of Brandy Snap, a squeeze of lime, and a splash of soda served chilled.
Beyond the liqueurs, Rock Distillery continues to offer sugar-free gins, distinctive rums (including the new Dark Chocolate Orange Rum), whiskies, and vodkas – all 100% natural.
Visitors are welcome at the Wadebridge distillery and shop, or at their other locations in Tintagel, Bude, Padstow, Corsham, and Dartmouth. With tasting stations at each site, it’s the perfect chance to discover your next favourite spirit – and make this summer a little more rock ’n’ roll.
