Love limited edition

This Christmas, each Jo Downs gallery has its very own exclusives, making for a fabulous design trail of beauty of colour.

Anyone who loves Cornwall will be familiar with Jo Downs Handmade Glass galleries, but this winter, especially for the Christmas season, Jo’s galleries will each show work specifically inspired by the unique coastal town and landscape.

At Jo’s new St Ives gallery, Fish @ No. 5, you’ll find a series of exclusive works, including a stunning new wall mounted ‘Marlin’ artwork in dazzling colours and exquisite handcrafted detail. Limited-edition designs like these are available alongside the gallery’s exclusive offering of shoaling fish installations, which are inspired by the sea fishing heritage of the town and are available in unique colourways not found in any other gallery. Right next door, Jo’s gift gallery will be exhibiting all her classic designs, from mini-hangings to her trademark Wishsticks and dazzling jewellery in all the colours of St Ives bay, making it the perfect venue for a spot of Christmas shopping.

Up the coast to Padstow and you’ll find that Jo’s gallery exclusives include designs inspired by the blue sky and curving white sands of the town’s estuary, as well as the rainbow colours of the fishing boats that brighten the harbour in summertime. In Fowey, where the river inlet is set against rolling hills and lush forest, exclusive designs in deep greens and aquamarine will be on show, while Jo’s Tintagel gallery will offer works in a fiery red, gold and blue colourway that reflects the drama of the village’s mythical history, as well as the rich colours of its cliffs, castle and coastline. As always, Jo’s Launceston studio and gallery will be displaying large scale works including wall panels, multi-piece installations, mirrors, art frames and large feature bowls, as well as a huge selection of giftware, from stocking fillers to that really special present. Exclusively on show at this gallery will also be a new, luxury collection of giant glass oyster shells, inspired by the deep ocean and available in series of iridescent pink and gold colours.

If you’re hoping to give a piece of Cornwall to somebody who holds the Duchy close to their heart, a trip to one of Jo Downs’ Cornish galleries comes highly recommended!
