Making the right sounds
HBH Woolacotts provide sound advice for audiophiles all over Cornwall.
The 2019 Cornwall Hi-Fi Show returned to the Royal Cornwall Showground on 11th and 12th October and did not disappoint, with a feast of industry leading brands and the latest home audio products on demonstration. Organised and managed by HBH Woolacotts, the Hi-Fi Show is fast becoming a fixture for major AV brands and the number one place in Devon and Cornwall to see and hear the latest home audio products, and this year’s saw three major launches.
“The changes we’ve made have really taken the show to the next level”
ONE-CAST from Cyrus made its debut in October and is the world’s first audiophile amplifier with full voice compatibility. Arcam premiered their new AVR10 Premium AV Receiver which is due to be released early November as well as a working prototype of the SOLO-UNO mini system, which is due for release early 2020. Finally, KEF, who won ‘Best Stand of the Show’, had their brand new Q250-C Centre Channel speaker set up as part of an explosive 3–Brand Dolby Atmos Home Cinema demonstration with Yamaha electronics and a Panasonic OLED TV – again, the first time this product had ever been shown to the public in the UK.
Over 700 people attended the show over the course of two days and helped create a fantastic atmosphere. The inclusion of Bose, Sonos and three major television brands (Panasonic, Sony and LG) meant that there really was something for everyone, covering every aspect of home audio and home cinema.
Geoff Pratt, Organiser and Store Manager at HBH Woolacotts Wadebridge says: “I’m absolutely delighted with the event and how it turned out. The changes we’ve made have really taken the show to the next level and the brands really have been fantastic in their support for the show and helping create world-class stands and demonstrations.”
HBH Woolacotts is best known as a general electrical retailer, with a focus on home appliances, and TV/AV. However, all stores have a selection of home audio products and Wadebridge, Plymouth, Bodmin and St Austell in particular, have a much larger range of premium audio, home cinema and 2-Channel Hi-Fi. In short, if you love hi-fi, you will love HBH Woolacotts.
