Head to Cornwall’s rugged north coast with your pup for a holiday you won’t forget.

The site location atop rolling green hills just minutes from Porthtowan beach is a massive draw, with a range of great spots nearby including the welcoming Portreath Arms pub. Thanks to its location, it’s within easy distance whether you’re on foot or two wheels. Owner Natalie tells us: “We love the Portreath Arms and have seen it transform in recent years to the pub it is now.”

You also have two beautiful north coast beaches on your doorstep, Portreath and Porthtowan. The beach at Portreath is quite simply a ‘must visit’ for everyone. There is a seasonal dog ban on both beaches between Easter and October from 7am until 7pm, but outside of those dates it’s an absolute haven for hounds! And there’s always the option to stick to the striking coast paths.

For a brilliant walk, head from Tehidy Woods to Deadman’s Cove, starting off in the beautiful Tehidy Country Park, with woodland and wildlife aplenty then following the cliffs near Deadman’s Cove. From here you’ll follow the coast path to Basset’s Cove before re-entering Tehidy Country Park for a great circular route.
