Rock Distillery has not just been busy dreaming up fabulous new cocktails and creating exceptional whiskies and brandies – they have also been busy expanding, and are delighted to now welcome visitors to six Rock Distillery shops across the South West.
Every one of their shops has its own unique character, but they all have one thing in common – a warm welcome and a full tasting station showcasing a complete range of gins, rums, vodkas, whiskies, brandies and liqueurs. Whether you know exactly what you’re looking for or simply fancy discovering something new, their knowledgeable teams are always happy to guide you through the collection and help you find your new favourite tipple.
If you’re visiting Tintagel, be sure to say hello to Martin – affectionately known as the Orange Pixie. Martin loves introducing visitors to the Rock Distillery range, although it won’t take long to discover that rum is his particular passion. With sixteen different ones to choose from, you’ll certainly be spoilt for choice!
A trip to Wadebridge offers something a little different, as this is also home to their Gin distillery and bottling plant. Visitors can browse the shop before enjoying a tasting in a relaxed, spacious environment with plenty of parking right outside the door. This is where many of the creations begin their journey before heading off to the other shops. The Wadebridge team are always delighted to share the stories behind their spirits and explain how they’re made using natural ingredients, blended with Cornish spring water.
Over in Bude, you’ll find the wonderful Carole, who has created a warm and welcoming atmosphere in her characterful shop. Carole is passionate about introducing customers to new flavours and regularly hosts cocktail evenings, which have proved incredibly popular with both locals and visitors alike. Just remember to nominate a driver before you start sampling some of her delicious creations!

The Padstow shop is the largest in the Rock Distillery family and is run by a friendly team who love nothing more than helping customers explore the range. Whether it’s the Peanut Whiskey Liqueur, a refreshing Lemongino, the ever-popular Brandy Snap or one of their seasonal cocktails, there is always something new to discover. In fact, many customers return several times during their holiday to sample everything on offer. It’s no surprise that Padstow has affectionately become known as the “adult sweet shop”.
Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Foss Street, Dartmouth, Andrea and Tom have created a shop that’s become well known for its imaginative window displays and welcoming atmosphere. They are always happy to offer advice on mixers, cocktail ideas and food pairings, and of course visitors are invited to enjoy complimentary tastings before making that special purchase.
Just opened, Rock Distillery Barnstaple shop is run by Julia and her business partner, Terri. Their home in historic Butchers’ Row was built more than 170 years ago as one of the town’s original butcher’s shops. Today, they’re proudly continuing the tradition of independent local traders, although these days, you’ll find shelves filled with spirits rather than steaks! Pop in for a friendly chat, a tasting or two, and experience the latest chapter in the Rock Distillery story.
