Raise A Glass

Cornish Rock Gin’s extensive range of delicious spirits are the perfect way to celebrate in style this summer.

Life has really progressed for the team at Cornish Rock Gin, who have recently relocated to larger premises at Clear Space, Dunveth Business Park in Wadebridge. The move has meant that they can cater for the increased demand for their ever-growing range of artisan products, with plenty of parking outside. Here, you’ll find a retail shop with a full tasting station and many of the distillery’s original features including their very first still named Bonanza Boy, after founders George and Angie’s favourite race horse.

Angie says; “We are also delighted to have opened our new Fore Street retail outlet in the historic and legendary village of Tintagel, where our unique Camelot Collection of gins and rums also includes boxed gift sets which have proven to be extremely popular with tourists and regular customers alike. And, of course, another full tasting station included for all those free sips!”

The launch of their new Lansdown Road shop in Bude, coincided with a new addition to an ever-flourishing product range in the form of Live the Dream gin. This citrusy flavoured gin with added rosemary is best served over ice with a good tonic. Additionally, in response to customer feedback, the team have also added new products to their rum offering. The delicious and extremely popular Banana Blast has a taste profile full of sun-ripened bananas; if you prefer a sharper tang to your drink then the new Rhubarb and Ginger Twist will definitely get your tastebuds buzzing; or for the seasoned connoisseurs out there, the new 57% ABV full navy-strength rum, True Taste of Cornwall, will not fail to impress. If you find yourself in Bude then do seek out the lovely large store there where another superb free tasting station is available.

Cornish Rock Gin has also added to the range an excellent three-year-old Single Malt Whiskey; a delicious Peanut Whiskey Liqueur  – which has effortlessly converted many of their gin and rum customers; an exquisite Apple Brandy and, due to popular demand, a citrus gin-based liqueur named Lemongino. Made with no less than two and a half juicy lemons per bottle, this is just what you need to kick start summer.

“We are overjoyed with the opening of our fantastic new store in the popular Cornish town of Padstow on Lanandale Street, and this event was celebrated by a further launch of two new products, Sublime Lime with a hint of mint which makes an amazing gin-based mojito, and finally the Almond Air gin, a delicate creation which is so smooth it can be consumed on its own. Our fabulous Padstow store includes a large full tasting station, and plenty of new merchandise. Or why not just come and try one of our new products?” concludes Angie.
