With hundreds of animals spread across 13 acres of lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo promises a real adventure.

Located just a short walk away from Newquay town centre, Newquay Zoo is one of Cornwall’s most loved visitor attractions. Find all of your favourite species, from red pandas to penguins, lemurs to lynx, and discover rare and exciting new animals along the way.

Travel from the open plains of the African savannah to the tranquil gardens of Japan and South America’s tropical forests in just one day, getting up close to some of the wonders of the animal world. Meet free-flying birds in the Gems of the Jungle aviary, encounter endangered and unusual creatures in the Wildlife at Night exhibition and investigate reptiles and amphibians in the Tropical House. Don’t forget to look out for the animal talk times, where you can learn a lot more about the animals and see them in action.

There’s a variety of outdoor play areas where little ones can let off steam and the Tarzan Trail features an assault course where even grownups can join in the fun! Plus, there’s a Village Farm, an Oriental Garden, and even a Secret Garden.

To refuel your adventure, you’ll find a wide selection of fresh, local and ethically-sourced food on site. Enjoy a spot of lunch at Café Lemur, which serves a delicious range of food from pizzas and burgers to sandwiches, wraps and children’s picnic boxes, as well as hot beverages and refreshing cold drinks. Or, grab food on the go from one of the takeaway kiosks conveniently located around the zoo.

Come rain or shine, Newquay Zoo offers fun for all the family and by visiting you are also directly helping to conserve wildlife in the wild. The zoo is part of Wild Planet Trust, an education, research and conservation charity which supports a number of conservation projects around the world and plays a key role in breeding programmes for endangered species.
