For over fifteen years Bishop Phillpott has been the name for designer fashion in Cornwall.

Bishop Phillpott is a designer womenswear boutique based on New Bridge Street in Truro. Run by a mother and daughter team, with a background in the fashion industry, the store prides itself on stocking brands that offer that little something different – high-quality pieces that you will treasure now and for years to come. Each season they try and bring new and exciting labels to their established range, most of which they sell exclusively in Cornwall. They really love the idea that people are moving towards buying fewer clothes, opting for style and quality over quantity.

Brands include well-established favourites such as items from famed British designer, Paul Smith, with his signature prints and unusual colour combinations providing discerning fashionistas with something truly special; Weekend by MaxMara, an Italian brand that’s famed for its classic pieces with a twist – from gorgeous wool knits, to cotton shirts and their famed range of coats; and American Vintage, a collection full of beautiful and vibrant coloured knits, basic tees and jackets that are made to last and promise to bring some fun to your wardrobe. Marc Cain and Paige jeans can also be found in-store.

Fresh new players include British cashmere brands like Jumper 1234 and Van Kukil cashmere – both of whom import the highest-quality sustainably and ethically sourced cashmere from Mongolia. Bishop Phillpott has also recently welcomed Spanish label Ecoalf on-board, a company that has won awards for its planet-friendly approach, recycling plastic from the ocean and crafting it into beautiful, wearable pieces for the everyday. 

The personal service on offer here is second to none, and the team are always on hand to offer style advice for those who feel they are stuck in a fashion rut, or perhaps need some inspiration for a special occasion. They really want women to feel great and to experience the fun of wearing something different; they love nothing more than witnessing the transformation in their customers, having helped them to radiate with confidence as they leave the store with their chosen items.
