Justin Duance Jewellery create jewellery with narrative and meaning by casting each piece in beach sand. No two are the same, each one carrying the essence of the place in which it was cast.

Every sandcast piece starts by being hand carved from wax, which is then pressed into a mould made with sand from a beach of your choosing. The magic happens as the mould is filled with molten gold, mixing with the sand to create an organic piece of jewellery with a unique texture.

The Sea Treasure rings combine the sandcasting technique with one-of-a-kind gemstones set in hand carved bezels. Reminiscent of corals, these rings feel like a treasure found on the seabed. They are currently available to buy on their website, or customers can draw inspiration from these pieces and choose their own gemstones for their ring. 

At the workshop, there are boxes of stunning gemstones in almost every colour of the rainbow. The environmental and social impact of the materials is important to the team. Their precious metals are 100% recycled and they offer two options when it comes to gemstones: ethically mined or recycled. 

“The stones we use are fully traced from their mine of origin, right up until they are on your finger, or they are recycled. While we may not know the origins of the recycled stones, we love the idea of using what is already on the earth’s surface, giving these beautiful gems a new lease of life. It’s better for the planet, and your purse!”
