Mélange made a conscious decision to include colour in this year’s Autumn/Winter Collection. Complementing the ever-classic denim, grey, black and navy palette that is often the go-to dress code for the cooler months, are deep blues, glorious greens, rich russets, cute camels and bold browns, plus the occasional pop of hot pink.

The ownness is very much on sustainable fabrics this season with quality pieces that will last, and which have a nod to current trends. Our favourite autumn essential from the new collection has to be the hugely versatile sweater dress – it will take you from day to evening with the addition of a piece of tasteful jewellery or scarf from Mélange’s carefully chosen range of accessories.

What’s more, the team have discovered a practical  and stylish, versatile four-in-one layered coat from Betty Barclay. Quilted, and with detachable sleeves so it converts to a gilet, it is topped with a lined water-repellent outer coat so will take you from beach walk to town stroll in effortless style. Add to this one of their newly stocked Failsworth waxed hats and a pair of Harris tweed and leather gloves and your look is complete.
