Service that shines
Porthleven Jewellery Workshop continues to build on its reputation as one of the Duchy’s favourite jewellers.
Positioned at the water’s edge in Porthleven, the Jewellery Workshop team has been busy over the last few months, putting a lot of love and care into making sure the shop is at its best when the time comes to open. And now that it has, it’s also clear that Clair, Paul and the team have also put a lot of care into ensuring that all the necessary safety measures are in place, in line with the government guidelines, so that customers can peruse the displays as comfortably and safely as possible.
As well as serving customers with face masks and visors, Paul tells us: “We clean the jewellery thoroughly, and all our customers are asked to use sanitiser before and after trying.” It’s a good job too, because upon visiting you’re bound to want to try on a few of the beautiful pieces currently on offer, particularly as Clair and Paul have been busy stocking the shop with lots of new styles and designs, including a new watch brand! Named after the favourite aeroplane of famed German inventor and engineer, Hugo Junker, ‘Iron Annie’ will be replacing the store’s Junkers range, sitting alongside the workshop’s beautiful range of Zeppelin watches. “Both are manufactured in the same small factory near Munich,” explains Paul, “and we have a lot of the new models on show, which we can’t wait to share with our customers.”
Something that hasn’t changed with the current pandemic is the warm welcome you can expect as you cross the threshold. Nor has the expertise of the team, and it’s fair to say that the quality of the pieces on display continues to speak for itself. Offering second-to-none advice on all-things jewellery, and able to help you find that perfect piece – even if that means making it for you – the Jewellery Workshop, Porthleven, continues to live up to its county-wide reputation for fair prices and prompt, first-class service.
