Revitalise Dental Centre in St Agnes is redefining dental care as we know it.

We spoke to lead cosmetic dentist Dr Jason Smithson to find out more. “I moved to Cornwall in 1997 as a general practitioner. I now have a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons and have taught aesthetic dentistry internationally for 15 years being lucky enough to  have spoken at the highest-level events in all continents.” Dr Smithson’s accolades don’t stop there; he’s the only European to have a resident faculty at Spear Education, Scottsdale Arizona, the most prestigious dental teaching centre in the world, and has developed a composite resin system and instruments for leading oral health companies which are sold worldwide.

Moving to Revitalise in 2018, Dr Smithson brings with him a wealth of knowledge and superior expertise to a dynamic team. Joining him is practice manager Sam, who has worked in a clinical environment for 23 years, initially as a dental nurse in dental practices and then within an NHS acute hospital setting. Sam has been at Revitalise since the very beginning and was involved with setting the standard for best practice care: “I am fortunate enough to work with a fantastic team and meet wonderful new patients each day,” says Sam. Dr Smithson says of Sam, “she is a great leader and has a calm and welcoming manner with our patients.” Dr Smithson continues: “Senior lead nurse Kitty, has been in dentistry for seven years and we have had the pleasure of working alongside Kitty for four of those years. She is a fantastic nurse and sets the standards for the nursing team, with her calming and
welcoming manner.”
