Bringing a twist on the traditional, The Bottle is Newquay’s newest deli, wine bar and eatery, and so far, it’s been a soaring success!
Tucked away behind the main high street, The Bottle is in an up-and-coming area of Newquay where a number of new and independent businesses are popping up. As a neighbourhood restaurant, it is a frequent haunt for local residents.
The Bottle is a unique venue in that it is a wine bar and eatery serving sharing boards and plates of cheeses and meats, alongside European inspired small plates. It also hosts a deli counter and a wine shop with a wide variety of wines from around the world.
Owners Rob and Toyah dreamed up The Bottle during the first lockdown and opened their doors on 3rd August 2020. Whilst many at the time said it was a brave move to make opening a new bar and restaurant during the current climate, it’s fair to say they’ve made it a success, and with bookings being made weeks ahead and weekends frequently being fully booked, it is safe to say this simple concept is proving popular.
The Bottle focuses on sociable dining in what has been seen as a decidedly unsociable period, with boards of cheeses and cured meats available to share and served alongside a large selection of wine. It’s the perfect venue for almost any occasion; whether it be a date night, a night out with family or a catch up with friends, the warm and friendly environment at The Bottle will make any night feel special.
The Bottle also has a wine shop, which means that whilst restrictions are in place you can still enjoy great wine by taking one of their many bottles home at the end of the night. They also offer a refillable wine service, meaning you can enjoy wine whilst also doing your part for the environment. With several reds, whites and rosés on offer on tap, there is something for everyone available to enjoy.
The deli counter also has a number of delicious offerings for you to take away. With a strong focus on small British cheese producers and seasonal European cheese, The Bottle is the place to go for your at-home cheeseboard selection. Rob and Toyah have also just launched The Bottle At Home – offering hampers for collection or UK delivery, brim-full of cheese, wine and delicious meats.
To put it all quite simply, if you’re in search of something different to what’s available in your local supermarket, a trip to The Bottle, Newquay, comes highly recommended!
