Liz Francis, founder of Padstow Gallery, takes immense pride in sourcing original artwork from her treasured selection of British artists.

As a truly independent art gallery, Liz curates pieces which are handmade, each piece entirely unique and inspired by the enchanting Cornish setting.

Fundamentally, Padstow Gallery is about connections: between artists, makers, people and the inspirational environment around them, and the concept of ‘edges’ and ‘boundaries’ – a celebration of the flora and fauna of the countryside, and the ruggedness of the Cornish coastline, where land meets the sky, can be seen throughout the gallery.

“I love it when an artist takes a view and makes it their own,” Liz explains. “As someone who is not an artist, I am captivated by the entire creative process. It excites me to catch a glimpse of that moment in time through the artist’s eyes, just through marks on a canvas or board.”

While Liz’s talents lay with the vision and curation of the space, she is quick to credit the gallery’s success to her wonderful team, her amazing customers and of course, to the incredibly talented artists who continue to support this little venture.
