Staying holiday safe
Fixer Management and Falmouth Holiday Homes look set to welcome guests back this July. We discuss with them their key to success.
Having fully researched and stringently followed the government guidelines, Falmouth Holiday Homes and Fixer Management have upgraded their already high standard of holiday let changeover services to be COVID-19 compliant. It’s imperative that the housekeepers feel safe in their working environment and that all guests are welcomed to an impeccably clean house.
Adapting to become fully compliant, all housekeepers are being retrained before restarting work this July, getting to know the new products that the company’s invested in. One such product is a new anti-bacterial solution called ‘X-Mist’. With a kill rate of 6 – the highest kill rate on the scale used by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to assess a disinfectant’s effectiveness – X-Mist will now be used by Fixer Management to wipe down door handles, key safes and even soft furnishings, ensuring that each property has been thoroughly sanitised. The team can also use the WHO brand of manual fogging cans between changeovers, should it be deemed essential.
Fixer Management is changing its practises to meet the social distancing guidelines, with cleaners happily working alone in most circumstances. Provided with full Personal Protective Equipment and essential guidance on health and safety in the workplace, Fixer Management is making sure that every housekeeper can still carry out their duties on changeover day. Guests are also being asked to maintain the social distancing guidelines whilst on holiday and to contribute to the task at hand by doing simple things such as stripping their bed linen – small gestures that will make a huge difference to the housekeeper’s cleaning structure, and which will provide them with much-needed support in the early days, when returning to work may seem a daunting prospect.
