Cornish Rock Distillery has transitioned from spring into summer with an expanded portfolio and renewed focus on premium spirit production. The distillery continues to refine its considerable range, offering visitors and customers alike a journey through meticulously crafted beverages that demonstrate technical precision combined with flavour innovation.

The distillery’s gin collection forms a solid foundation of their offerings, with ten variations all developed from their signature Rock Classic London Dry. Among recent additions, Sublime Lime stands out with its refreshing mint undertones, creating an ideal base for a gin-based Mojito when paired with Mexican lime soda. Equally noteworthy is Almond Air, providing a distinct aromatic experience with a lingering almond finish that enhances any serving method.

Where Cornish Rock truly expands its horizons is through sixteen unique rums. Established favourites such as Vanilla, Coconut and Dark Spiced Pineapple remain consistent performers in their portfolio, available for sampling across their retail network. Their Victory Rum represents a significant achievement in patient production, having matured in oak barrels for five years. Created to commemorate VE Day, this 42% ABV spirit offers complexity and depth intended for long-term appreciation. For enthusiasts seeking intensity, True Taste delivers a robust 57% ABV white rum that has garnered a dedicated following.

Perhaps most distinctive within their rum collection is the Chocolate Orange Rum – a sophisticated blend using premium Caribbean white spirit infused with fresh oranges and dark chocolate. The result transcends novelty categories to deliver genuine quality in liquid form.

The distillery demonstrates equal commitment with their whiskey production. Their Single Malt undergoes triple distillation before maturing for three years in French red wine barrels. Elevated temperature storage accelerates maturation before the spirit is cut with local spring water. This foundation has inspired several creative derivatives, including Rock Peanut Whiskey Liqueur – a 22% ABV creation infused with freshly roasted peanuts, ideally served neat with complementary salted peanuts. Their Whiskey Sour balances fresh lemons and pink grapefruit, suitable either neat or extended with cloudy lemonade. For those seeking warmth, their Whiskey Warmer combines ginger and local honey at 22% ABV, offering measured indulgence.

The Toffee Vodka Liqueur presents rich, buttery characteristics for those preferring sweeter notes. The distillery’s experimental approach appears in their Banoffee Bon Bon – combining Toffee Vodka and Banana Blast Rum, a creation that gained national recognition after appearing on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh, temporarily overwhelming their online operations. The refreshing Watermelon Vodka Liqueur offers versatility in mixed drinks, while Pink Grapefruit Vodka Liqueur transforms champagne or prosecco into elegant pink mimosas.

The company’s expansion into brandy began with their Apple Brandy, produced from Bramley apples and double-distilled in copper stills before maturing in French red wine barrels. This foundation has generated four distinct brandy liqueurs: Brandy Snap combines caramelised honeycomb and toffee; Orange Breeze balances sweet and bitter citrus elements; Vanilla Delight showcases fresh vanilla pods; and Apricot Fusion utilises complete fruit components from skins to kernels, delivering a full-bodied experience with subtle oak influence.

Rock Distillery maintains extensive tasting stations across all retail locations, inviting visitors to experience their full range. Their primary distillery and shop in Wadebridge serves as their operational centre, supported by additional locations in Bude, Tintagel and Padstow.
