The draw of the coast

St Michaels Resort beckons travellers to a haven of serenity and indulgence.

The allure of St Michaels Resort is hard to resist; luxury accommodation, incredible food and a market-leading spa are set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Cornish coast. This seaside haven has earned its reputation not only for its location but also for its commitment to providing an experience that caters for both body and soul while remaining true to its Cornish roots.

The hotel accommodation redefines comfort and luxury, with rooms and suites boasting coastal elegance. The stylish self-catering Liner apartments have panoramic views while the newly added Spa Garden Lodges offer the ultimate in private relaxation. Whichever accommodation you choose, each space has been designed for elegance and comfort.

Wellness has always been at the heart of St Michaels Resort. Alongside a range of treatments, St Michaels is also home to the largest hydrothermal pool in the south west, complemented by a Finnish herbal sauna, experience showers and Cornwall’s only sea salt steam rooms. Beyond the pool area, the newly refurbished and beautifully landscaped south-facing spa garden now includes a cold plunge pool and large step-down hot tub.

This year saw a hugely successful calendar of wellness retreats and active Cornish breaks which will return for 2024. Level-two Wim Hof instructor, Cat Paterson will once again host a four-day journey with guests, teaching how the power of breathwork, mindfulness and cold-water endurance combine to bring about a lasting, positive change. Open-water swim coach Salim Ahmed will lead a wild swimming break, and for those preferring to stay above the water rather than in it, Brendon Prince of The Long Paddle, will accompany guests on a stand-up paddle board exploration around the coast. The Beach Yoga break is also hugely popular and combines yoga and mindfulness.

While St Michaels offers wellness and relaxation in spades, we highly recommend using it as a base for exploring beyond the resort. Falmouth town has a rich maritime history, art galleries and vibrant local culture. Nearby, Pendennis Castle offers a glimpse into the region’s storied past, or simply stroll along the promenade towards the beaches of Swanpool and Maenporth. If you’re seeking a luxury Cornish escape, St Michaels Resort offers a coastal symphony of bliss.
