Silver Origins is a family run, independent jewellery brand that began in 1972. Today, three generations of family members run the business along with dedicated staff who all play a key role in a common endeavour to create a successful jewellery brand.

Specialising in sterling silver, a timeless precious metal with intrinsic value and beauty combined, all jewellery is designed in-house and headed by Creative Director, Marcus Price, who was born and grew-up in west Cornwall and developed a strong affinity for the ocean and coastline having been a keen surfer and diver since childhood. Salt water is in the blood as his father, Tony Price, founder of the company, was one of the first commercial divers in Cornwall back in the early sixties, and a keen long-board surfer.

New designs and ideas start out as a simple pencil sketch with the original moulds hand carved out of wax to achieve the natural organic shapes and textures. Silver is then cast using the lost wax method, sanded, polished and the stones are then set by highly skilled silversmiths. Everything is made by hand with attention to detail and quality, so that every design maintains the Silver Origins signature look and feel. “It’s so rewarding to create original and tactile handcrafted jewellery with fresh and exciting seasonal collections launching throughout the year and mid season,” Marcus tells us.

The collections evolve from the iconic backdrop of Cornwall’s sub-tropical gardens and wildlife, rugged beaches, coastline and sea life – together with its rich Celtic heritage. This truly dramatic setting provides endless visual inspiration. Natural organic shapes, sculptured and weathered rock formations, pebbles and shells found beachcombing on the tideline, rockpools teeming with life and ocean waves pounding our shores.

A piece of Silver Origins jewellery has a connection to something meaningful and intrinsically beautiful. Many designs feature semi–precious gemstones, contrasting textures and gold vermeil to enhance the spirit and story of each piece. Silver Origins designs are elegant in their simplicity and minimalism, demonstrating that, often, less is more. Each collection is unique with designs to suit everyone, from the fun and whimsical to the eternally romantic, celebrating love and life moments.

All collections are available in-store or online. Silver Origins has two jewellery boutiques, one situated in the ancient market town of Marazion, across the water from the famous St Michael’s Mount, and the flagship store in St Ives, with its pristine beaches, cobbled streets and art galleries.
