The ideas of March
Next month heralds the opening of the first ever DuchyGrub restaurant at Higher Harlyn Park, St Merryn, Padstow!
Brought to you by the duo behind the successful takeaway service that started life a couple of years ago, this new venture is certainly one to experience. It promises to be a date to put in the diary.
If you haven’t heard of them, then who are DuchyGrub? They are a young couple who have combined their joint experience of working in the hospitality sector to bring to Cornwall their shared passion for exciting food. Having achieved early success from small beginnings, they have decided it is now time to branch out and set down some firm roots! With Joe’s creative flair, genius ideas and Jaz’s undeterred motivation they bring to you an eclectic mix of dishes coupled with a laid-back but efficient service.
Be ready to experience delicious authentic Mexican tacos by day (also available to take away) and a varied small plates menu by night! Think Middle Eastern to the Mediterranean – suitable for all dietary requirements. It’s a perfect venue for couples seeking a romantic night out with a modern twist or a group of friends looking for something a little different.
Fancy a drink that’s a bit more colourful than your usual beverage? They have a range of marvellous seasonal cocktails – Grapefruit Margheritas to Acai Daquiris; did somebody say Mezcal Mojito? And as we head into spring and warmer days why not sit back on the sun-trapped terrace and take in the bustling environment whilst sipping one of these wonderful concoctions? And what’s even better is that all their spirits and mixes are sourced from local, Cornish suppliers, remaining true to their belief in encouraging and supporting local businesses whenever possible.
We really recommend that you check out the website to make a lunchtime or evening booking. Or if you see a celebration coming along why not take advantage of the Bottomless Brunch offering, available every Sunday from 11am until 3pm.
