Rock’s new culinary kid on the block is an unpretentious Mediterranean- style bistro/brasserie nestled above the sand dunes and endless white beaches of the Camel Estuary. This is laid-back riviera dining at its best. The menu boasts simple yet tasty dishes created from locally sourced ingredients, celebrating the bounty of Cornwall’s land and sea. From specials such as Crispy Chilli Beef or a sumptuous half Lobster paired with fries to all year round delights such as the Upper Deck Burgers or Steak Frites, along with a selection of small plates, the menu offers something for all palates.

Behind every dish lies a story of sourcing from the region’s finest suppliers. Lobsters and mussels come from the waters surrounding the Camel Estuary, ensuring unrivalled freshness and flavour. Fresh fish comes courtesy of Cornish specialist Matthew Stevens, while meats are sourced from premier local butcher James Kittow, guaranteeing the highest quality. A seasonally inspired, weekly changing specials menu is a real highlight.

Upper Deck Head Chef, David Townsend brings with him great working relationships with local producers, meaning that his kitchen gets the cream of the crop. “We’re big on fresh produce and are lucky that we can get awesome supplies delivered to our door daily – veg even twice a day,” he says. “You can see the Porthilly Mussel farm from our balcony, so it’s fitting that we serve Porthilly mussels daily….”
