Cornwall Living

The Ultimate Prize

Omaze launches its latest monthly prize draw with the chance to win a specular, five-bedroom coastal retreat in Cornwall.

Raising crucial funds for global international charity partner, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), one lucky person is guaranteed to win a stunning property in Cornwall worth over £3 million, plus an additional £100,000 in cash as part of Omaze’s new prize draw. With nature in freefall, the WWF (wwf.org.uk ) is urgently tackling the underlying causes that are driving the decline – especially the food system and climate change – finding solutions so future generations have a world with thriving habitats and wildlife. Its ground-breaking scientific research, global influence and the backing of its supporters such as Omaze, are all part of its bid to ensure that the natural world’s vital signs are recovering by 2030.

The money raised through the partnership with Omaze will help with restoring UK coasts, driving action from UK government and empowering young people to take action for nature – all helping to bring our world back to life. The draw is backed by Actor, Impressionist and WWF fellow Alistair McGowan, who said: “I’m very happy to be supporting thispartnership between WWF and Omaze. I’ve been a proud supporter of all the work WWF does for many years, becoming an ambassador in 2005 and subsequently a Fellow for this excellent and respected organisation.

“WWF work incredibly hard – conducting research and carrying out projects in the UK and around the world – to protect nature and wildlife and to restore it too. The money raised through this partnership with Omaze will make a real difference and help WWF to continue to protect so many incredible species and bring our world back to life.”

James Oakes, Chief International Officer at Omaze, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with WWF for our latest house draw. By offering this gorgeous house in Cornwall, along with £100,000 in cash, we’re giving people the chance to live mortgage and rent free for the rest of their life – as well as raising money for charities whilst introducing them to brand-new audiences that they otherwise wouldn’t reach. We’re tremendously proud that the Omaze community has already raised over £31 million for good causes across the UK.”

The prize house is located just a few minutes away from St Agnes beach and sits in an elevated position, offering panoramic views of this idyllic village and one of Cornwall’s famous historical engine houses. Imagine driving up your very own private driveway leading to a landscaped courtyard framed by trees and nature-filled gardens. The house itself is an outstanding example of modern architecture with expansive glazing allowing natural light and scenery to fill the home.

Enter via the spacious entrance hall and you’re greeted with vast vaulted ceilings. Follow the natural stone floor through to the open-plan kitchen, dining and family area which forms the heart of the home. The kitchen features bespoke hand-built units with a long breakfast island seating area, perfect for catching up over a morning coffee or reflecting on the day with a glass of something cold in hand. Incorporated into the open plan kitchen/ dining area is a spacious family room with a large stone fireplace for gathering around on stormy days.
Sliding doors seamlessly lead from here to a stone terrace that provides an effortless setting for outdoor entertaining. There’s a handy boot room on this floor; a unique feature of the property which connects through to large coat cupboards, shoe storage and an airing cupboard whilst also leading through to the utility room, all designed with adventurous living in mind.

A stunning granite staircase leads up to the first floor which has a glass balustrade landing.
