Timeless treasures

A visit to Radmore’s in Truro unearths a veritable treasure trove of antique treasures and functional art.

Specialising in exquisite pieces of the finest antique jewellery, Radmore’s, run by David and Debbie, offers a unique curated collection. From Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian pieces through to Art Deco, vintage and modern items, the selection is outstanding. As Debbie aptly describes it, “It’s like stepping back in time.” The jewellery, often sourced from local families looking to part with cherished heirlooms or collections, embodies a history and level of craftsmanship that modern pieces simply cannot replicate.

David, with his extensive background in antiques, and Debbie, an accomplished interior designer, have merged their talents beautifully. Their travels across France have not only enriched their own home but have now enhanced Radmore’s, making it a destination for those who appreciate the artistry of bygone eras.

Recently, Radmore’s has expanded its offerings with the launch of Belle Maison, a new venture that reflects Debbie and David’s deep-rooted passion for antique treasures. In a dedicated room, you’ll discover stunning items sourced from brocantes and château sales from across the picturesque La Rochelle area of rural France. This new area, which debuted just a month ago, showcases not only their eye for beauty but also their commitment to bringing a taste of French elegance to the Duchy.

Adding to the allure of this unique furniture collection is the fact that each piece is adorned with stunning artwork by the talented Christie Rock, who says: “I have this fantastic opportunity to paint and work in such a stunning showroom! You must come and visit for yourself to see the variety of hand-picked, restored French furniture.”

At Radmore’s, every visit promises discovery – whether it’s a bejewelled Victorian brooch or a charmingly distressed armoire.
