Turning up the pressure

As Christmas comes into view, Cornish Rock Gin bids farewell to a busy summer and prepares for the winter rush.

Phew! As the busy summer season draws to an end, the Cornish Rock Gin distillery and shop is now on a mission to carefully create enough of their much sought-after beverages for their Christmas adventures. Never ones to let the grass grow under their feet, the team are always on the look-out to expand their operation as well as enhancing their customer’s experience, which is why they’re adding three new rums into the mix – it’s going to be a busy few weeks!

First up is Banana Blast, a lightly spiced concoction – this will be a definite favourite with banana lovers. The second addition is Rhubarb & Ginger Twist, offering the discerning imbiber a fabulous sharp flavour ending with a wonderful, sweet aftertaste that incorporates a generous hint of ginger. Then, having taken note of many requests and to finalise the new releases, is the 57% strength white rum; a genuine, full-on, Navy-strength spirit called True Taste. All three are set to be on the shelves in abundance ready for Christmas.

As if this wasn’t enough, beyond manning three shops in Wadebridge, Tintagel and Bude, the team will be preparing to attend a plethora of Christmas markets this season, which is good news for those who wish to sample the new offerings and stock up in time for the festive season. The first of these kicks off on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of December at West Point in Exeter, a multi-purpose indoor arena and showground at Clyst St Mary. Again, on the 1st and 2nd of December, the team will be in Truro Cathedral for the Made in Cornwall Christmas Market running from 10am until 5pm.

Following on from this they will then be returning to another favourite, the Plymouth Christmas Market, which runs from the 9th to the 17th of December where the much-loved brand hopes to repeat the success of previous years. On the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th of December you’ll be able to sample a range of flavours at the spectacular Padstow Christmas Market, which is brimming with various celebratory events including a firework display on the Friday evening. Then, on the 8th, 9th and 10th December Cornish Rock Gin will be at Fowey Christmas Market, another wonderful Cornish location that hosts this regular event, not to mention the many other one-day events the brand will be attending in different locations in the West Country.

Now with 14 delicious rums to try and nine glorious gins, along with some rather glamorous glassware plus gift packs and hampers, the choice really is yours to make. What’s more, for those who want a really Cornish gift, there is also a range of gins and rums in specially branded Camelot bottles and gift packs with labels and stories of the Kingdom of Camelot and the era of King Arthur.

So, if you’re looking for that elusive present or you just wish to treat yourself, we suggest you head to one of these events to pick up a bottle of one of these first-class spirits!
