Warm and welcoming

Located in the beautiful seaside town of Falmouth, Restaurant Four has some exciting plans for the winter season.

Flavoursome, locally sourced, honest food is a speciality at Restaurant Four, and is guaranteed to anyone who pays a visit to this wonderfully fresh establishment. Owned and run by husband and wife team, Matthew and Ceri Unwin-Springett, the pair have dreamed of co-ordinating their very own restaurant throughout their individual careers in the hospitality industry, and in June of 2019 their dream came to fruition. 

“Ever since I started out at fifteen as a pot-wash at my local eatery it had always been my dream to open my own restaurant, and the opportunity arose out of pure coincidence,” explains Matthew, “but with four little people watching our every move, my wife and I believed that working hard and building something from scratch were brilliant examples to set our kids.” The restaurant has flourished under its new ownership, and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that has been carefully nurtured by the whole team: “My wife and I want everyone to have a brilliant time here, whether it’s a quick lunch to hide from the rain or a special occasion.”

Chef Matt enjoys working with fresh, seasonal produce that arrives at the restaurant on a daily basis, allowing the kitchen team to come up with new dishes regularly, keeping the menu current and completely fresh! “Food has always been my passion and I hope that this shines through in my cooking. I believe in good, honest, locally sourced ingredients speaking for themselves,”
he explains.

Restaurant Four is holding a charity night on 16th November to raise funds for Georgia’s Voice, who offer small, free and confidential support groups
for young women suffering with mental health concerns, and a safe place for those difficult conversations. 

As the days grow colder and Christmas begins to glint on the horizon, Restaurant Four are busy planning their festive feast of a menu which will run from 1st to 30th December, and their nine course Great Gatsby tasting menu on the 31st December promises to be a New Year’s Eve taste sensation! With their new opening hours running from Monday to Tuesday 6pm to 11pm, and Wednesday to Saturday 12pm to 3pm and 6pm to 11pm, make sure to pay a visit for a culinary experience you won’t forget!
