A touch of style

Beautiful ideas for the home from Inspirational Interiors.

We catch up with Sue Clark of interior design experts Inspirational Interiors to get the lowdown on the latest trends for the home. So what does Sue recommend to add a statement to your home?

“I’m loving the new Clarrisa Hulse range”, explains Sue. “She has once again teamed up with Harlequin Fabrics to produce a second range of gorgeous fabrics and wallpapers. Clarissa drew her inspiration for the exquisite fabric collection Callista from a variety of influences, including her enduring passion for plants, flowers and landscapes.” The striking fabrics, all of which have that signature Clarissa style include silk and cotton mix jacquard weaves, silk dupion prints and a beautiful voile that has been dip-dyed then embroidered and hand embellished.

“Another one to look out for is Standing Ovation”, continues Sue, “a fashion inspired, couture collection of feature wallpapers from design house Harlequin. The collection comprises nine confident wallpaper designs in an array of over 40 beautiful options, all oozing with vivacity and sophistication. Drawing on both existing bestselling fabrics and original artwork, the wallpaper collection represents a mix of subtle silhouettes with an extravaganza on full-on colour and pattern, which majestically combines with the Fauvisimo fabric collection.”

And for that extra touch of luxury, why not add some motorised blinds to your home? “Motorised blinds have always been seen as a premium product”, says Sue, “an extravagance beyond the reach of most. This is now a thing of the past as Louvolite proudly introduces One Touch motorised blinds, making luxury affordable. One Touch technology helps us to think differently about how we add shade at our windows.” Without getting up from your seat, you can filter the daylight, increase your privacy and let daylight in, all at the push of a button.

The benefits are many: innovative yet affordable contemporary technology for the modern home and office; they are child safe as operating cords and chains are no longer necessary; they are simple, convenient and easy to use; installation of battery-operated solutions is easy and removes the need for mains wiring; and best of all, they are operated by a remote control that can be used anywhere in the room. What’s more, the blinds are available in a range of on-trend patterns and styles to add an instant focal point to any room.

Whatever the scale of project, speak to Sue to see how she can make your home as special as it really deserves to be. “We used Sue at Inspirational Interiors because of the local personal service, offered at a good price with a wide choice of fabrics”, says Mrs Spence of Newquay.

Equally, if you have a holiday let or rental property which you want to maximise the potential of, then it really does pay to employ a professional service such as Inspirational Interiors to add that ‘wow’ factor. Another happy customer, Mrs Manson, adds: “I have just completed my property and Sue’s wooden blinds have added the finishing touch needed to get tenants queuing round the block. This is the fourth property Sue has done for me and I am delighted to be able to recommend her – nothing is too much trouble!”

So if your home is in need of a bit a refresh, then perhaps it’s time to inject it with some designer inspiration from Sue now.
