Mawgan Porth – Helpful Holidays

Mawgan Porth: A village of mostly modern houses, pub, restaurants, delis, wine bars, hotels and beach shops clustered around a beautiful cove of soft sand. Good for bodyboarding on the magnificent beaches with international facilities for surfing at Newquay. You can get involved in Golf and pony-trekking nearby, and Watergate Bay (Jamie Oliver’s restaurant and The Venus Café).

On a quiet, private lane on the northern edge of Mawgan Porth, a stunning, brand new (2011), large, custom-built detached house, cleverly designed with the living areas upstairs to take advantage of the terrific sea views. It is brilliantly positioned for both the beach (300 yard steep footpath down to a cove/coastal path) and hotel bar/restaurant (200 yards). At the front, sloping lawned garden and drive; at the back, neat garden on two levels with decks catching morning/evening sun (table/chairs, barbecue). Everything about this house is excellent, generously proportioned and very 21st cent, with lots of big windows providing masses of sunlight.
