Cornwall Living 2017

Porth Enys House

Three words sums up Porth Enys House in Mousehole and that is; Location, Spectacular Location! It is uniquely set in its own 20 acres, with a 1/3 mile of its own private shore line and probably one of the finest views in the country. The view spans from Mousehole across to Mounts Bay, St Michaels Mount and down to The Lizard. If you like sea views and watching the world sail by then this will be your dream house.

Seaviews are the name of the game in the Ground floor, with all the rooms, apart from the study and cloakroom, having amazing vistas across the Cornish coastline. So whether you are spending your days lounging in the lounge, eating in the conservatory diner, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or considering a movie in the television room (with full home cinema system & 10ft screen), you are never far from the sea.

The views continue to the first floor, where all the bedrooms have these incredible sea views, but for that something a little bit extra, there is also a balcony from where you can watch all the boats and ships float by.

Up to the second floor, and yes, you’ve guessed it, every room on this floor also has terrific sea views with bedroom four also having an en-suite and another balcony.

Step outside the property and there is 20 acres of land, 1/3 mile of private shoreline (no beach or shore to walk on), tables, chairs and a laundry building. There is also plenty of parking with just walk down the hill into Mousehole.

There are some excellent restaurants in Mousehole, namely The Cornish Range, 2 Fore Street and The Old Coastguard Hotel, and nearby you can also tantalise your taste buds at Bay Restaurant in Penzance, The Cove at Lamorna, Harris’s and many more.
You also have a few choices of Spa and Pampering as Perfect Stays can either book you up at The Cove Spa, which is not far away, or Alverton Spa in Penzance. If you want to receive treatments in the luxury of Porth Enys House then they will organise this for you instead.
