Despite recent world events, resin bound surface specialist, Oltco, is celebrating a year of growth.
During these unprecedented times, it has, nevertheless, been a busy summer for Newquay based Oltco. Indeed, having once again proved its ability to move with the times, Oltco is incredibly grateful to have achieved such a high level of business growth in the face of such adversity. Dedicated to transforming spaces with high-quality products and providing excellent customer service, it’s Oltco’s forward-thinking solutions that have placed the business at the top of its game. 2019 saw Oltco win ‘Product of the Year’ in the Cornwall Business Awards, whilst being crowned ‘South West Disruptor of the Year’ in the NatWest Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. These accolades were well-deserved and are testament to its excellent product and innovative solutions.
The Oltco story began in 2004 as a family business selling and installing non-slip solutions for homes and businesses. Since then the company has completed jobs across Cornwall for prestigious businesses such as the Headland Hotel and the Eden Project. Successfully introducing its exciting new sustainable product Recyle Bound over a year ago, Oltco has already managed to recycle over 40 million plastic straws in resin installations across the country.
After expanding its franchise offering by a massive 450% in 2019, Oltco is proud to announce the launch of a further 10 franchises across the UK since March.
Here at Oltco HQ in Cornwall, Oltco has also recruited more Franchise Account Managers, Labourers and Installers to join their growing team, capitalising on its successes and creating more job opportunities for the local community.
Co-Director Johnny Pearce says: “We are delighted to be expanding our HQ team and to welcome even more people to the Oltco family. We are fortunate enough that our business continues to grow significantly allowing us to expand our HQ team and offer new jobs. We are also proud to have launched over 20 franchises throughout the UK.”
In recognition of its success Oltco wanted to reward its staff while supporting local businesses. So, Oltco Directors Johnny and Tom gave all the Oltco Cornwall staff a bonus to spend exclusively at one of Cornwall’s amazing local businesses. Now that’s certainly a success story to be proud of!
