Food with a view

Open to guests and non-residents alike, delicious Cornish cuisine lies at the heart of the Fowey Hall Hotel.

Perched above the Fowey estuary, the Fowey Hall Hotel is the perfect base for a holiday, whether you’re hoping to take to the coast, walk atop the cliffs, or sink into the outside hot tub and soak up the views of the water below. Be it rest and relaxation, or excitement and adventure that you’re looking for, you’ll find it all here.

However you spend your holiday, there’s nothing quite like fresh sea air to instil a hearty appetite. Fortunately, Fowey Hall Head Chef, Wesley Pratt, has more than 20 years’ experience working in the kitchens of luxury hotels and local restaurants. What’s more, being a parent himself, he knows how to cater for the foodie demands of the whole family!

The Fowey Hall restaurant has fantastic relationships with local suppliers, meaning that only the freshest and most flavoursome ingredients find their way onto Wesley’s menus. Seafood is sourced from local business, Fish for Thought; eggs are laid locally by free-range hens, and award-winning artisan ice cream comes from Treleavens, churned at Tretoil Farm in the north Cornish countryside.

The best part is that you needn’t be a guest to enjoy the Fowey Hall’s foodie fare. Perhaps you’re visiting Fowey for the day and want to make a pit stop, to refuel for the rest of your day’s adventures? If so, the hotel offers casual and informal light bites, and with an all day dining menu to choose from at your leisure, Wesley and the team can provide you and yours with a delicious plateful at any time of day.

Alternatively, if you fancy indulging in one of the nation’s favourite foodie traditions – afternoon tea – the Fowey Hall offering is seriously special. With handmade sandwiches and scones, sweet treats and loose-leaf teas, available until 30th September, you can indulge in a Beatrix Potter inspired afternoon tea that’s perfect for kids and adults alike.

With excellent Cornish cuisine at the heart of what it does, whether you’re planning a Cornish break or simply popping in to refuel on your day of exploring, the Fowey Hall Hotel comes highly recommended.

It can be hard to leave beloved pets at home, which is why Fowey Hall includes doggy blankets, feeding bowls, a tennis ball and biscuit treats for all canine guests! The Fowey Hall ëPawsí break is available Sunday to Thursday and includes a two-course dinner each evening (humans only!). Rates from £379 for two guests, and dogs stay for free.
