Experiencing Hooked on the Rocks
Hooked on the Rocks – Swanpool
After a hectic winter of completely refurbishing the restaurant in Swanpool near Falmouth, Hooked on the Rocks is now open! With a brand new kitchen and a warmer, richer colour palette to frame the outstanding view over Swanpool beach, Emma Bastian tells us: “We now have a more luxurious space with rich hues, fabulous velvet teal dining chairs, booth seating, as well as a group dining area that’s perfect for those family and friend get-togethers.
“We’re also welcoming a new Head Chef after his relocation back to Cornwall from London. He wants to give customers an experience influenced by the rugged Cornish coastline, using the wonderful produce surrounding us to create a menu that everyone can enjoy!”
George’s ethos is to cook with the seasons without manipulating ingredients too much and is excited to bring his experience to the new look restaurant. He is passionate about using the best sustainable Cornish produce wherever possible, adopting a real ‘nose to tail’ approach to food, baking his own breads, churning ice creams, pickling and preserving vegetables. Emma continues: “We are lucky enough to be able to source our seafood from the local fishermen, even our crabs and lobsters are caught eight miles from the restaurant and kept in the tank for our customers to choose.”
Needless to say, Hooked on the Rocks and its tantalising new menu is set to impress over the coming spring, so we’ll see you there!
