Making time for me

We lead crazy, busy lives, and the one thing we never seem to have time for is ourselves! And yet, it’s widely understood that pursuing personal passions and taking time to relax is an important piece of the ‘health and happiness’ puzzle. ‘Me’ time invites you to de-stress, unwind and rejuvenate. It can be as simple as allowing time to put aside your everyday business and treating yourself to an activity that you enjoy.

The best thing about taking time out for yourself is that when you return to your responsibilities, you do so with greater focus, commitment and enjoyment.

The team at The Cornwall Hotel, Spa & Estate believes that, in order to make the most of your ‘me’ time, you need to first decide that you deserve it, and then how best to spend it. Evaluate the things that are wasting your time each day and learn to say no to those that don’t bring you satisfaction and joy. You should ask for help with chores that need not necessarily lay at your feet, and commit to a minimum of 15 to 20 minutes of ‘me’ time each day, doing something (or nothing!) that completely lets go off all responsibilities and releases your mind.

Emerging from the woodland on The Cornwall Hotel’s 43-acre estate, The Clearing Spa offers beauty, health and fitness options in a tranquil indoor and outdoor space, making it perfect for a spot of ‘me’ time.

On sunny days, the spa courtyard becomes a beautiful sanctuary in which to enjoy a post workout smoothie, and when the weather is a little more British, the heated infinity pool and aroma steam room become all the more tempting. The friendly, approachable spa and leisure club team are able to devise pampering regimes that promise to rejuvenate and revitalise even the weariest of visitors, and memberships are available, so how about it?
