Formed in 2003, ARCO₂ set out to create and provide the most sustainable properties in the region with sustainability and preservation of our environment at the core of their business.  They have won many prestigious local, national and international awards along the way including Architect of the Year at last year’s National Building Awards and are shortlisted this year for Architecture Practice of the Year.  Sustainability forms the heart and soul of everything they do.

With a talented team of 10 employees they specialise in low energy coastal houses, holiday homes and replacement dwellings.  They have become experts in their field, producing beautiful healthy buildings based upon Passive House principles.  In fact, there aren’t many places in Cornwall you can visit without coming across one of their award-winning designs.

This imaginative, creative and energetic team are passionate about high quality low energy design and pride themselves at delivering a friendly professional service with a difference.  It’s this passion, which lead them to build on their success and introduce their own contracting firm ADD Sustainable Construction Ltd in 2016 to provide a relaxed and stress-free quality service from concept to completion.

Remote Working

From Arco2: During these unprecedented times we have been one of the fortunate businesses that have been able to continue as normal, albeit the entire office are working from home.  We have been regularly using the different video conferencing apps for team meetings and client meetings.  New enquiries have been unaffected by lockdown enabling us to use a mix of multi-media including e-mail, phone, video conferencing, Pinterest and Google Earth. Perhaps the only area to affect our business is undertaking site visits for new projects, however with lockdown measures set to be eased over the coming weeks we are looking forward to visiting sites once again.  Some of our construction sites have returned to work on a limited workforce to enable social distancing, we hope they can return to return to full production over the coming weeks.  The best way to contact us about your project is via the SPEAK TO US page on our website, e-mailing office@arco2.co.uk or calling us on 01208 72100.
